Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Guilford Vikings vs. Northern Guilford Nighthawks

The Northwest Guilford Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Northern Guilford Nighthawks at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Northwest Guilford got the win against Grimsley by a conclusive 57-37. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Northern Guilford entered their tilt with Ragsdale on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 win over the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Nighthawks have posted since January 24th.

Northern Guilford's win came from a few key players Northwest Guilford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Leena McField, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. The game was her fourth in a row with at least 20 points. Malena DeLisa was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Northern Guilford pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.
