Baseball Recap: Lansingburgh Comes Up Short

Lansingburgh couldn't beat Albany on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Knights fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 9-7. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Lansingburgh and nudges their season record down to 4-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Albany, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Lansingburgh will take on Voorheesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Albany, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Cohoes at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
