Baseball Recap: Bingham Wins Going Away Against Farmington

Bingham never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Farmington Phoenix as the Bingham Miners made off with a 16-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won four in a row.

Delton Cramer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bauer Williams, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zach Sorenson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Bingham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Farmington only posted an OBP of .368.

Bingham's record now sits at 2-0. As for Farmington, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Bingham will face off against Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Farmington, they will take on Tooele at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
