Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Southeast

Southeast extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Parker Hardgrave. The Southeast Golden Buffalo skirted past the East Aces 58-56 for which the team can thank Hardgrave, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played.

Jaydin Araujo was another key player, putting up 12 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%).

Despite the defeat, East saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luke Henderson posted 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Henderson. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Phillips-Grey, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

Southeast now has a winning record of 10-9. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Southeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-54 defeat against Bishop Carroll on the 27th. East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
