Volleyball Game Preview: Westerville South Wildcats vs. Hayes Pacers

The Westerville South Wildcats will head out to take on the Hayes Pacers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Westerville South didn't have quite enough to beat St. Francis DeSales and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Stallions: they've now lost three in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Westerville South sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 17-25, 25-23, 20-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Hayes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Westerville North, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-17.

Hayes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Westerville South, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Westerville South was able to grind out a solid victory over Hayes in their previous meeting on April 8th, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
