Baseball Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short

Bethel fell victim to Emerald Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 9-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Bethel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Burnworth, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Emerald Ridge, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel will venture away from home to face off against Spanaway Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Emerald Ridge, they will head out to square off against Lake Stevens at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
