Volleyball Game Preview: Amplus Academy Archers vs. Bonanza Bengals

Amplus Academy hasn't had much luck against Bonanza recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Amplus Academy Archers will welcome the Bonanza Bengals at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Tuesday, Amplus Academy came up short against Las Vegas and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Las Vegas scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Bonanza faced Mojave in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Bonanza came up short against Mojave, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bengals have suffered since April 11, 2024.

Bonanza was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23, 25-15.

Bonanza's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Amplus Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
