Volleyball Recap: Potter-Dix Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Peyton Rasmussen and Corina Mendoza

Potter-Dix was the 2-0 winner over Crawford when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Coyotes fell 2-0 to the Rams on Saturday. Coyotes fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Rams since Saturday.

Corina Mendoza and Peyton Rasmussen certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Mendoza had nine digs and one assist, while Rasmussen had five digs.

Potter-Dix dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Crawford, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Potter-Dix has already played their next matchup (against Bayard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Crawford, they will face off against Morrill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
