Volleyball Recap: Vanlue Comes Up Short

Vanlue was the 3-1 winner over Colonel Crawford when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Monday.

Vanlue took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-16, 25-21.

Madi Brooks paced Vanlue's offense, picking up seven kills. Brooks got some help from Adrienne Phillips and her seven assists.

Vanlue's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Colonel Crawford, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Vanlue has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Upper Scioto Valley on the 20th. As for Colonel Crawford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Elgin on the 20th.
