After a string of four wins, San Benito's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots by a score of 2-1. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Genesis Meza paced San Benito's offense, picking up six kills. Meza got some help from Jayla Delgado and her six assists. Annalise Rodriguez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

San Benito's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

San Benito wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 21st. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Pace on the 16th.
