Softball Recap: American Canyon Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact American Canyon can now relate to. They came up short against the Freedom Falcons on Tuesday, falling 14-3. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 11 runs.

American Canyon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ianna Labao, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

American Canyon's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12-1. As for Freedom, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9-1 record this season.

American Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Freedom, they will challenge Del Norte at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
