Softball Recap: Hudson Wins Going Away Against Center

Hudson barely beat Center the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hudson Hornets were the clear victor by a 15-4 margin over the Center Roughriders on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hudson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. Center dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hudson will host Bullard at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bullard will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hudson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Center, they will be playing at home against Rusk at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Center has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
