After a string of three wins, Rolling Meadows's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cary-Grove Trojans by a score of 41-39. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Rolling Meadows' defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Cary-Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Rolling Meadows and Cary-Grove should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Rolling Meadows (ranked 67th) will meet Buffalo Grove (ranked 305th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cary-Grove will take on Crystal Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 130 places (114 vs. 244).
