Baseball Recap: Anderson Comes Up Short

Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 13-2 to the Lassen Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 last Tuesday.

Anderson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daimon Pierce, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Pierce brought in this season.

Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lassen, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Anderson will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Lassen, they will take on McClatchy in a tournament on Monday.
