Volleyball Recap: St. Patrick Victorious

The St. Patrick Shamrocks were able to grind out a solid victory over the Waverly Warriors on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 26-12.

St. Patrick's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Waverly, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-11-2 record this season.

St. Patrick will square off against Pewamo-Westphalia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Waverly, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against DeWitt on the 16th.
