Volleyball Recap: Monrovia Comes Up Short

Monrovia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Canada Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Monrovia couldn't get the win, but they sure gave La Canada a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-23, 20-25, 25-16.

Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for La Canada, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Coming up, Monrovia will head out on the road to square off against Temple City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for La Canada, they will host Crescenta Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
