It was a good run, but Walnut Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the North Oconee Titans by a score of 1-0. Walnut Grove were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the four contests prior), but North Oconee's defense proved too tough.

Walnut Grove's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-6. As for North Oconee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut Grove will square off against Social Circle at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Oconee, they will face off against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
