Basketball Recap: Long Island City Comes Up Short

Long Island City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 36-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forest Hills Rangers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Rangers are ranked 62nd).

Long Island City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Forest Hills, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Long Island City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-18 loss against Francis Lewis on the 6th. As for Forest Hills, they will venture away from home to take on Bowne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
