Van Buren is still winless after their game against Ashland on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ashland Hornets. One positive for the Crusaders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Van Buren's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ashland, with the victory, they broke their 16-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van Buren will head out to challenge Wisdom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ashland, they will venture away from home to take on Katahdin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
