Eden James, son of Edgerrin James, leads Treasure Coast to huge upset win over No. 7 American Heritage.

In the biggest high school football game of the year it was dominated by No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) as they traveled to Texas and took down No. 13 Duncanville (Texas) 45-3. Sophomore quarterback Elijah Brown had a very efficient night completing 18 of 23 passes for 269 yards and three scores while the defense was lights out. Five-star cornerback Domani Jackson set the tone early with a 38-yard pick-six for the first points of the night.

Eden James, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Edgerrin James, led Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) to a 29-21 upset win over No. 7 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) at the Battle at the Beach in Naples (Fla.). The senior running back rushed for 267 yards and two scores. The Patriots five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss had over 200 yards receiving and two touchdowns in the loss.

The second biggest game of the weekend featured No. 6 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) hosting No. 8 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) and the Raiders won 38-23. Senior quarterback Zion Turner racked up 340 yards of total offense and three touchdowns while Jason Taylor's defense forced five turnovers.

In another marquee out-of-state matchup No. 10 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) traveled to Ohio and knocked off Archbishop Hoban (Akron) 42-7. Senior Notre Dame commit Steve Angeli accounted for three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) while Princeton-bound running back Ryan Butler added two scores.

North Cobb (Kennesaw, Ga.) made a statement on ESPN2 cruising to a 40-21 win over No. 21 Milton (Ga.) in a matchup of two of the top teams in Georgia's largest classification. Junior quarterback Malachi Singleton rushed for 200-plus yards and five scores in the win. Expect to see Buford (Ga.) jump in the MaxPreps Top 25 on Monday after they beat North Cobb last week and followed that up with a 16-3 win over Clarke Central (Athens, Ga.).

Two Top 25 teams played on Thursday and Kaden Anderson made his debut for No. 22 Southlake Carroll (Southlake, Texas) at quarterback and led the Dragons to a 45-21 win over Highland Park (Dallas) at AT&T Stadium. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound junior completed 16 of 24 pass attempts for 261 yards and accounted for four total touchdowns.

Arizona-bound quarterback Noah Fifita led No. 18 Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) to a dominant 44-7 win over a very good Mission Viejo (Calif.) squad. He finished the night with five total touchdowns and the Friars showed they will be a serious threat to No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) and No. 3 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) in the Trinity League this fall.

No. 2 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) caps the weekend with a Sunday contest against Bishop Sycamore (Columbus, Ohio) on ESPN. The Acenders rolled to a 35-15 kickoff classic win last week against No. 7 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) that doesn't count on the official record.
