Baseball Recap: Mazama Comes Up Short

Mazama was the 17-3 winner over Lakeview when they last played one another back in April of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Honkers on Wednesday, falling 23-3. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Mazama saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devyn Lobdell, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Mazama's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lakeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mazama will face off against Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lakeview, they will take on St. Mary's at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
