Basketball Game Preview: Mount Horeb Vikings vs. Milton Red Hawks

The Mount Horeb Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Milton Red Hawks at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Mount Horeb's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Mount Horeb is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Portage 111-72 last Tuesday. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Warriors are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Milton posted their closest victory since February 22, 2024 on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Edgerton 54-52.

Mount Horeb pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25 points. As for Milton, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Mount Horeb was able to grind out a solid victory over Milton when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 63-55. Does Mount Horeb have another victory up their sleeve, or will Milton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
