            Baseball Recap: Brunswick Blue Devils vs. Avon Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Brunswick took a ten-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Avon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils skirted past the Eagles  8-6. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Blue Devils.
 Jackson Briggs looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Connor Adams was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cole Rauscher, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.

Brunswick's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-7. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Avon,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-14.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brunswick will host Midview  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Avon, they will challenge Twinsburg at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
