Basketball Recap: Quantico Skates Past King Abdullah Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Quantico). They claimed a resounding 44-14 victory over the King Abdullah Academy Falcons. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Quantico's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadyn Cline, who posted 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those 18 points gave Cline a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jillian Pattay, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards.

Quantico smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Quantico's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for King Abdullah Academy, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Quantico and Fredericksburg Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Quantico has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. King Abdullah Academy will take on St. Michael the Archangel in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. King Abdullah Academy is facing St. Michael the Archangel at the right time seeing as St. Michael the Archangel is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
