Volleyball Recap: Ludlowe Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Canaan, Ludlowe was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the St. Joseph Cadets by a score of 3-1. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Cadets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ludlowe had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-21.

Ludlowe can attribute much of their success to Guy Julavits, who had nine digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Julavits a new career-high.

Ludlowe's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for St. Joseph, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ludlowe is set to face off against their familiar foe Westhill at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will square off against rival Norwalk at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
