The Maple Shade Wildcats will head out to  challenge the Delran Bears  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Maple Shade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8  runs per game  this season.
Maple Shade managed to slip by Woodstown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost  7-1 to the Wolverines on Wednesday. The  contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring  match so far this season.
 Maple Shade saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Isabella Adams, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Delran made easy work of Westampton Tech  on Tuesday and carried off  an  8-2 victory. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 Olivia Powell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.
 At the plate, Delran let  Ellie Haskell and  Elaina Faux run wild. Haskell  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while  Faux  went 2-for-3 with one  triple and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Gianna Spinelli, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases.
 Delran's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Maple Shade, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 4-1.
Both  the two teams just can't seem to miss. Maple Shade has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.4  hits per game. However, it's not like Delran struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 4.1  hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Maple Shade came up short against Delran when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, falling  7-4. Can the Wildcats avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
