Softball Recap: Cumberland Takes a Loss

Cumberland lost against Coventry back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Clippers took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakers. The Clippers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Cumberland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Coventry, their record now sits at 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cumberland will take on rival Westerly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coventry is set to face off against their familiar foe La Salle Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Oakers 2.7, the Rams 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
