Wheeling won the last time they faced Elgin and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Maroons.

Wheeling not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Elgin between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Wheeling is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 24-11 record this season. As for Elgin, they dropped their record down to 6-27 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Wheeling and Lake Zurich will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elgin, they will face off against Conant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
