Soccer Recap: Dirigo Comes Up Short

Dirigo lost against Telstar back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars lost 8-0 to the Rebels. While losing is never fun, Dirigo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Telstar are ranked 11th).

Dirigo's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Telstar, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dirigo will square off against rival Carrabec at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Telstar is set to challenge their familiar foe Wiscasset at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
