Basketball Recap: Bard Comes Up Short

Bard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 58-11 defeat at the hands of the School Without Walls Penguins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 45-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Sophie Whitaker, who went 15 for 23 on her way to 33 points for School Without Walls. The matchup was Whitaker's third in a row with at least ten points. Joelle Barksdale was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Bard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for School Without Walls, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Bard has already played their next game (against Eastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. School Without Walls has already played their next contest, a 60-13 victory against Cardozo on the 27th.
