Soccer Game Preview: Milpitas vs. Gonzales

The Milpitas Trojans will head out to face off against the Gonzales Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Milpitas comes in on four and Gonzales on 12.

Milpitas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Selma, sneaking past 3-2.

Guillermo Munguia Ruiz and Jason Aguiar scored all three of Milpitas' goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Gonzales beat Summerville 3-1 on Tuesday.

Gonzales' victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those nine contests. As for Milpitas, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
