Soccer Game Preview: Redlands vs. Oak Hills

Redlands hasn't had much luck against Oak Hills recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at 9:50 a.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Oak Hills will be up against a hot Redlands squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Terriers' defense stepped up to hand University Prep a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering Redlands have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit University Prep with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lyanna Garcia, Karolena Lipinski, and Kedarigauri Thirunavukkarasu.

Meanwhile, Oak Hills got the win against Garey on Saturday by a conclusive 8-0. Given Oak Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Garey are ranked 628th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Redlands' victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for Oak Hills, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-1.

Redlands suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Oak Hills in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Can the Terriers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
