Soccer Game Preview: Glendale vs. Knight

The Glendale Nitros and the Knight Hawks will round out the year against one another at at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Glendale's offense. They fell just short of Rio Mesa by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Nitros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Spartans are ranked 206th).

Meanwhile, Knight and Hueneme finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 3-2-3. Knight's draw gives them a new season record of 5-2-2.
