Baseball Game Preview: Bowie Jackrabbits vs. Vernon Lions

For the second straight game, Bowie will face off against Vernon. The Jackrabbits will square off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bowie took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Vernon. The win continues a trend for the Jackrabbits in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

For Vernon's part, Linden Ferrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bowie's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-14. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Vernon, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
