The Escondido Charter Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Maranatha Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Escondido Charter is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Classical Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Caimans, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 4, 2024.

Escondido Charter took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Maranatha Christian entered their tilt with Point Loma last Wednesday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Pointers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Maranatha Christian took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-15, 25-7.

Maranatha Christian's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. As for Escondido Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 24-12.
