P.K. Yonge extends home winning streak to six

Recap: P.K. Yonge Blue Wave vs. Bradford Tornadoes

The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave entered their tilt with the Bradford Tornadoes with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. P.K. Yonge strolled past Bradford with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 59-45. This was payback for P.K. Yonge, who suffered a 55-49 loss the last time these two teams met.

P.K. Yonge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matilda Parrish, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Reniyah Clark, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

P.K. Yonge pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Bradford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. P.K. Yonge will square off against Trinity Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Trinity Catholic is ranked 91st, while P.K. Yonge is ranked 100th). As for Bradford, they will head out on the road to challenge Hawthorne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hawthorne has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
