Softball Recap: Arroyo Takes a Loss

Arroyo fell victim to Alameda and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The defeat continues a trend for the Dons in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Sadie Fernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks.

Arroyo now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Alameda, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7-1.

Looking ahead, Arroyo will challenge San Lorenzo at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Alameda, they will head out on the road to face off against California at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
