Basketball Recap: Avon Comes Up Short

Avon came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt an 87-54 defeat at the hands of the St. Ignatius Wildcats. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Avon's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for St. Ignatius, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Avon will square off against Boardman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Ignatius does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
