Basketball Game Preview: East Tartans vs. Glenwood Tigers

East is 1-9 against Glenwood since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The East Tartans will look to defend their home court against the Glenwood Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

East is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 70-34 loss at the hands of Eastern. While losing is never fun, the Tartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 699th, while the Eagles are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Glenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. The contest between them and South Gallia didn't end well, with Glenwood falling 63-45.

Glenwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

East came out on top in a nail-biter against Glenwood when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 56-53. Will East repeat their success, or does Glenwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
