Basketball Recap: John Hay's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

John Hay got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They came out on top against the Bard Early College Raptors by a score of 61-50 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for John Hay, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

John Hay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but A'Chauntez Glenn led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Glenn a new career-high in points. Taevon Walker was another key player, putting up 14 points and five assists.

John Hay was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

John Hay's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Bard Early College, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

John Hay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-47 defeat against Benedictine on the 14th. Bard Early College will take on Fuchs Mizrachi in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
