Lutcher had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Plaquemine Green Devils get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lutcher's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Plaquemine, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Looking ahead, Lutcher will square off against Assumption at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lutcher's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Assumption's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plaquemine, they will challenge McKinley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.14 runs per game on average), something Plaquemine will no doubt try to take advantage of.
