Volleyball Recap: Conestoga Comes Up Short

Conestoga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harriton Rams. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Conestoga sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-10.

Despite the defeat, Conestoga saw an underclassman step up: freshman Julia Long had 19 digs. Harper Mayes also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Conestoga's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Harriton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Conestoga does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harriton, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Norristown on the 15th.
