Baseball Recap: St. Paul's Takes a Loss

St. Paul was the 8-3 winner over Hammond when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Paul's Wolves took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hammond Tornadoes on Thursday.

Brennan Keim was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

St. Paul's has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Hammond and bumps their season record up to 4-15.

While St. Paul's had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
