Baseball Recap: Delta Wins Going Away Against Millard

Delta won the last time they faced Millard and things went their way on Saturday too. The Delta Rabbits put the hurt on the Millard Eagles with a sharp 18-3 victory. Considering the Rabbits have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyler Davies was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kash Nielson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Delta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millard only posted an OBP of .368.

The win made it two in a row for Delta and bumps their season record up to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.5 runs. As for Millard, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Delta will head out to face off against Richfield at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millard, they will be playing at home against North Summit at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Millard has given up an average of 16.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
