Pearl had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Northwest Rankin Cougars by a score of 61-51. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 53-50 win two weeks ago.

Pearl's victory was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Northwest Rankin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
