Carlyle entered their tilt with Flora on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 9-4. While the Indians/Lady Indians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Carlyle let Matthew Guthrie and Jacob Ruscher run wild. Guthrie scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Ruscher scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Hayden Huels, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

Carlyle's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Flora, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Carlyle will take on Sparta at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flora, they will host Eldorado at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
