Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross fell victim to Dixie Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Colonels, falling 9-0. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Colonels when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Holy Cross has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-20 record this season. As for Dixie Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-16.

Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dixie Heights, they will head out on the road to take on Covington Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Covington Catholic will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Dixie Heights surely won't give up without a fight.
