Basketball Recap: Sierra Vista Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

Sierra Vista had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 90-42 win over the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles. The Mountain Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 29 points or more this season.

Sierra Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was EJ Dacuma, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 23 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Colton Knoll, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards.

Sierra Vista was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Somerset Sky Pointe only racked up ten assists.

Emmitt Bell and Ja'Cory Gory certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Bell posted 16 points and three steals, while Gory put up 11 points and five rebounds. That's the most steals Bell has posted since back in December of 2024.
