Soccer Game Preview: Reedley vs. Immanuel

The Reedley Pirates will take on the Immanuel Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Immanuel took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Reedley, who comes in off a win.

If Immanuel heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Reedley took over last week. Reedley had just enough and edged Selma out 2-1.

Kimberly Garcia and Kendra Escobedo scored both of Reedley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.

Meanwhile, Immanuel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Hanford West.

Reedley's win bumped their record up to 11-6-7. As for Immanuel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11-6.

Reedley was able to grind out a solid victory over Immanuel when the teams last played back in January, winning 4-2. Will Reedley repeat their success, or does Immanuel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
