Good Samaritan HomeSchool had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Spurger on Friday. Good Samaritan HomeSchool blew past Spurger 7-1.

Kinley Fife made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 20 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Fife wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Freeman, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Avery Schultz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool won against Legacy Christian Academy on Monday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool beat Cajun Christian Athletics by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-2.
Like Good Samaritan HomeSchool, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool also got a great game from a two-way player: Eliza Long. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Long was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing Four bases. while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool got a massive performance out of Emily Williams, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in stolen bases. Alyse Sistrunk was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-3.
Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Good Samaritan HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Good Samaritan HomeSchool has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
